Clovertex is seeking a highly motivated Senior HPC Engineer to design, deploy, manage, and optimize HPC environments supporting AI, scientific computing, and engineering workloads. The role emphasizes Linux administration, AWS-based HPC infrastructure, workload schedulers, and production support, with opportunities to impact Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Pharmaceutical customers.

You will work across cloud, DevOps, and application teams to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in HPC environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience configuring and maintaining SLURM or PBS.
• Experience providing L2/L3 production support for HPC systems.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash/Python).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.

Clovertex is seeking a highly motivated Sr. HPC Engineer to design, deploy, manage, and optimize High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments supporting AI, Scientific Computing, and engineering workloads. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux administration, AWS-based HPC infrastructure, workload schedulers, and production support.

This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-native HPC platforms for customers in Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Pharmaceutical industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, administer, and support AWS-based HPC infrastructure.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot HPC workload schedulers such as SLURM and PBS.
• Perform Linux system administration, monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Provide L2/L3 production support for HPC environments and scientific applications.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, storage, and application performance issues.
• Monitor cluster health, capacity, and system availability.
• Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, and application teams to improve platform reliability and scalability.
• Automate operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code and scripting wherever applicable.
• Maintain operational documentation and follow standard support processes.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in High-Performance Computing (HPC).
• Hands‑on experience with AWS Cloud services.
• Experience with SLURM and/or PBS workload schedulers.
• Experience supporting HPC operations, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of compute, networking, storage, and distributed systems.
• Experience providing L2/L3 production support.
• Good scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, or Shell scripting).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Multi‑Cloud Experience especially Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Exposure to containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience supporting scientific, engineering, AI/ML, or Life Sciences workloads.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
