Job summary

Versus Communications in Kolkata is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to transform briefs into sharp, memorable visuals across social, print, digital and events. You will own design from concept to final artwork, ensuring it fits the brand and communicates effectively.

The role requires 5–6 years’ experience, strong typography and layout skills, and the ability to mentor junior designers while collaborating with copywriters and account teams. In-office in Kolkata.

Qualifications

• Five–six years of experience in an advertising agency, creative studio, design agency, brand consultancy or similar environment.
• Proficiency in CorelDRAW and Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, colour and visual storytelling.
• A portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking, not just pretty pictures.
• Ability to work across both digital and print.
• Comfortable handling multiple projects and deadlines without losing your creative head.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good understanding of current design, advertising and visual culture.
• Someone who can take feedback without taking it personally.
• And ideally, someone who knows that “Can you just make it pop?” is not a design brief.
