Job summary

IG Group in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Senior Global HR Specialist to manage HR operations across multiple countries. You will resolve HR queries, process lifecycle transactions in Workday, and maintain HR records with independence and accountability.

The role requires hands-on experience with HR systems (Workday/SuccessFactors) and case management tools (ServiceNow/Salesforce), plus strong English (C1) and willingness to align UK hours periodically. This is a 12-month fixed-term assignment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on HR operations or HR shared services experience, ideally in a multi-country environment.
• Hands-on experience with Workday or SuccessFactors.
• Experience with ServiceNow or Salesforce or a similar HR case management tool.
• Strong written and spoken English (C1).
• Proven track record of working independently from procedures and handling non-standard cases.
• Willingness to work UK hours as described.

Responsibilities

• Resolve HR queries and requests in ServiceNow within agreed timeframes.
• Process employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including hires, changes, and leavers.
• Own the daily Workday task queue on your assigned days and follow up on carryovers.
• Prepare, sign, and distribute HR letters and documents and maintain employee files.
• Support Japan HR Operations from November.
• Handle correspondence from authorities and external bodies with clear next steps.
• Assist colleagues on complex cases and contribute to audits.
• Collaborate with team members across India, Poland, and the UK.

You’ll join People Services, part of People Excellence at IG, supporting 3,000+ colleagues across the globe.

Your role in the Team's Success

This is a 12-month fixed-term role, so you need to be productive from your first week. You'll work independently from our documented procedures and take full ownership of the work you pick up. You'll report to the Manager, HR Operation.

What you’ll do

• Resolve HR queries and requests in ServiceNow, accurately and within agreed timeframes
• Process employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including hires, changes, and leavers
• Own the daily Workday task queue on your assigned days, including anything left over from the previous day
• Prepare, sign, and distribute accurate HR letters and documents, and maintain employee files in our online archive
• Support Japan HR Operations from November
• Handle correspondence from authorities and external bodies, making sure every item is resolved or escalated with a clear next step
• Support colleagues on complex cases and contribute to audits
• Work with team members across India, Poland, and the UK

What you’ll need

• You work out what to do when a case doesn't match the procedure. Procedures cover most cases but not all. When something differs, you work out the right action, or youescalate with your analysis and a proposed next step. You never close a case because "no instruction applies".
• You own the outcome. If something is unowned or overdue, you pick it up. You don't wait to be assigned it or assume someone else has it.
• You flag risks early. If you can't meet a deadline or you're unsure about a case, you tell your manager straight away, with a proposed way forward.
• You work UK hours one to two days in every two weeks.

Essential

• 4+ years of hands-on HR operations or HR shared services experience, ideally in a multi-country environment
