Job summary

Persistent is seeking a Senior GCP AI Security Engineer to help customers secure and operationalize AI-powered agent ecosystems on Google Cloud. You will assess, govern, and secure GCP environments, including GKE, IAM, and data security, while reviewing IaC deployments and applying Model Armor controls.

You will lead security engagements, provide executive-level findings, and deliver remediation roadmaps to enterprise customers. Hybrid work with global locations is supported.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cybersecurity, cloud security, or related fields.
• 4+ years hands-on Google Cloud Platform security experience.
• Strong expertise in IAM, Networking, GKE, security operations, and data security.
• Experience with GEEP and Model Armor controls is a plus.
• Experience leading client-facing security engagements and governance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Cloud Security Posture Reviews across IAM, Networking, GKE, Data Security, DevSecOps.
• Assess GCP environments for governance, controls, architecture risks and compliance.
• Review Terraform deployments and enforce IaC security best practices.
• Perform GEEP security and governance assessments.
• Evaluate Agent Registry, Gateway, Identity, Functions, and Build capabilities.
• Implement and monitor Model Armor controls.
• Assess prompt injection, content safety, data exposure, and AI governance risks.
• Conduct AI threat modeling and attack surface analysis for multi-agent systems.
• Present executive findings, remediation roadmaps, and security recommendations.

About Position:

We are looking for an experienced Senior GCP AI Security Engineer to help customers assess, secure, govern, and operationalize AI-powered agent ecosystems on Google Cloud. This role combines GCP Cloud Security, AI Security, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (GEEP), Model Armor, Agent Governance, and AI Risk Management expertise.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct Cloud Security Posture Reviews across IAM, Networking, GKE, Data Security, DevSecOps, Security Operations, and Infrastructure Security.
• Assess Google Cloud environments for governance, security controls, architecture risks, and compliance requirements.
• Review Terraform deployments and implement Infrastructure as Code security best practices.
• Perform Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (GEEP) security and governance assessments.
• Evaluate Agent Registry, Agent Gateway, Agent Identity, Agent Functions, and Agent Build capabilities.
• Implement, configure, tune, and monitor Model Armor controls.
• Assess prompt injection, jailbreak risks, content safety, sensitive data exposure, and AI governance controls.
• Conduct AI attack surface analysis and threat modeling across prompts, identities, gateways, tools, functions, RAG pipelines, memory stores, and multi-agent systems.
• Review AI observability, runtime telemetry, security monitoring, and governance evidence.
• Present executive-level findings, remediation roadmaps, maturity assessments, and security recommendations to enterprise customers.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8+ years of cybersecurity, cloud security, AI security, platform security, or infrastructure security experience.
• 4+ years hands-on Google Cloud Platform security experience.
• Strong expertise in GCP IAM, Networking Security, GKE Security, Security Operations, and Data Security.
• Hands-on experience with Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (GEEP).
• Deep expertise implementing and tuning Model Armor controls.
• Strong understanding of Agent Governance, Agent Registry, Agent Gateway, Agent Identity, and Agent Functions.
• Experience with AI threat modeling, AI attack surface assessments, and secure agent operations.
• Knowledge of prompt injection, jailbreak attacks, tool abuse, context poisoning, memory poisoning, and RAG security risks.
• Experience with Security Command Center, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Chronicle, and SIEM integrations.
• Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code Security expertise.
• Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing consulting experience.
• Ability to independently lead AI Security and Cloud Security assessment engagements.
• Preferred Education B.Tech / M.Tech / BCA / MCA
