Job summary

Redwood Software is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the engineering team in Hyderabad. You will drive design, development, and enhancement of our automation platform, building scalable, secure software powering enterprise data exchange for 1,000+ customers.

You will architect services with Java 11+, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, design high-throughput systems, and contribute to React front-ends. Docker/Kubernetes will be used to deploy cloud-native services; leadership and roadmap input

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping production software in Java/Spring ecosystems.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud deployment.
• Strong knowledge of secure protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS).
• SQL and relational data modeling; NoSQL is a plus.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Terraform/Ansible is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize highly available, high-throughput systems for file transfer and data processing.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integration endpoints for enterprise customers.
• Implement security best practices across authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Contribute to React-based front-end development for admin and monitoring interfaces.
• Leverage Docker and Kubernetes to build and deploy cloud-native services.
• Partner with Product Management to translate requirements into scalable technical designs.
• Lead code reviews, drive continuous improvement, and mentor junior engineers.
• Play an active role in roadmap discussions, technical strategy, and innovation initiatives.

Your Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years building and shipping production software in Java/Spring ecosystems
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud deployment
• Deep understanding of secure protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS) or willingness to master them
• Solid experience with SQL and relational data modeling; familiarity with NoSQL is a plus
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD or equivalent for automated build/test/deploy
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) a plus
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Experience with automated unit and integration test frameworks
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and leadership potential
