Job summary

Bitwarden is seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer to join our Client Monorepo Platform team. You will help build and support shared interfaces across web, browser extension, desktop, and CLI, enabling secure and efficient cross‑platform experiences.

You will collaborate with product teams, drive tooling for the monorepo, and keep dependencies up to date, applying modern encryption and secure development practices. Experience with TypeScript, Electron, Vite, nx, and pnpm is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience developing and supporting complex, cross-platform TypeScript clients.
• Experience building and maintaining Electron-based applications is highly desirable.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain client monorepo build tooling, orchestration, and dependency packaging management.
• Ensure clients run securely across platforms and operating systems with a consistent development experience.
• Triage, diagnose, and resolve bugs reported by the community and customers.
• Update and validate core dependencies to ensure a secure and stable supply chain.

As a Senior Front-End Software Engineer on our Client Monorepo Platform team, you will play a key role in supporting our entire engineering organization. The team’s charter is to build and support the shared interfaces to core browser and OS capabilities that support all of Bitwarden’s client portfolio and across all of our clients - web, browser extension, desktop, and CLI, as well as the packaging, build tooling, and monorepo orchestration that support our client codebase. As a member of a Platform team, collaboration is key; you will work closely with our product teams to design forward-looking solutions, ensuring that supporting services and frameworks meet evolving business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain our client monorepo build tooling and orchestration and dependency packaging management, ensuring that teams can easily and reproducibly build and test their changes.
• Ensure that our clients can be securely run across our different platforms and operating systems while providing a consistent development experience
• Triage, diagnose, and resolve bugs reported by our community and our customers
• Update and validate core dependencies to ensure a secure and stable supply chain
