Job summary

Clarivate Analytics in Noida invites a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance-FP&A team. You will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, revenue reporting, and customer revenue analysis, working with central FP&A, controllership, and accounting to ensure clean financials.

The role reports to the Director of FP&A, requires a BCom or Finance PG, with CA/MBA an advantage, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and a hybrid, 40-hour work week with shift 12–9 PM.

Qualifications

• BCom or Finance Graduate is required.
• CA/MBA Finance is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, forecasting methods skills and problem-solving.
• Working knowledge of financial and general accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize complex tasks under tight deadlines.
• Clear, concise communication skills.
• Proven experience in use of Excel, PowerPoint and/or other reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Member of Corporate Functions FP&A team, providing partnership and financial support to senior leaders.
• Report into Director of FP&A.
• Regular data entry or data downloads from tools (Adaptive Planning, NetSuite) for analyses, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Coordinate with central FP&A for deadlines, forecast and budget submissions, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with Controllership/Accounting to review journal entries and ensure clean financials.
• Review key spend areas such as compensation costs/trends and vendor analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare Excel-based or PowerPoint-based materials for financial reporting.
• Support ad-hoc analysis and tasks as required.
• Coordinate with cross-functional Finance teams to resolve data quality issues and reporting challenges.
• Attend meetings and follow up on data quality issues to ensure resolution.
• Suggest improvements on processes involving data outputs.
• Ensure format checks of all Finance presentation materials in MS PowerPoint/Power BI/Excel.
• Transfer information into presentations and standardize formatting.
• Proactively perform version checks to ensure decks have latest data.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Member of Corporate Functions FP&A team, which provides partnership and financial support for Chief People Officer, CFO, SVP Of Revenue Operations, and General Counsel.
• Role will report into Director of FP&A.
• Regular data entry and/or data downloads from financial tools (eg Adaptive Planning, NetSuite) for usage in analyses, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Regular partnership with central FP&A team for corporate deadlines, forecast and budget submissions, and variance analysis.
• Regular partnership with Controllership / Accounting to review journal entries, understand anomalies in data, and ensure clean financials.
• Routine reviews of key spend areas, such as compensation costs/trends, vendor analysis, and other areas as relevant to ensure risks and opportunities are identified and communicated timely.
• Preparation of excel-based or PowerPoint- based materials as part of financial reporting requests.
• Support team in ad-hoc analysis and tasks as required.
• Coordinate with cross-functional Finance teams to resolve data quality issues and reporting challenges.
• Attend meetings and perform follow-up on data quality issues to ensure resolution.
• Provide suggestions for further improvements on processes involving data outputs.
• Prepare and perform format checks of all Finance presentation materials in MS PowerPoint/ Power BI/Excel.
• Ensure proper transfer of information into presentations and standardize formatting.
• Pro-actively perform version checks to ensure slide decks that are submitted always contain the latest data.
• Support team in ad-hoc analysis and tasks as required.

About the Team

The team in all consists of 5 people and this role will be reporting to Senior Manager Finance.

Hours of Work –

• Shift timing-12 to 9 PM
• Ready to be flexible to work on extra hours as per business/process requirement.
• This is a full-time role requiring 40 working hours (excluding breaks) per week.
• Work Mode-Hybrid (subject to change)
