Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Chartered Accountant with 6–10 years in Accounting/Finance to lead FP&A and ensure US GAAP and SOX compliance. The role emphasizes strong financial planning, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate will partner with business units to drive performance, manage budgets and forecasts, and implement robust financial controls using SAP, Hyperion, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with 6–10 years experience in Accounting/Finance, strong FP&A knowledge.
• Hands-on experience in Financial Planning & Analysis and interfacing with Global Finance.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Strong business process orientation and controls.
• Experience in manufacturing or ISC Finance is a plus.
• Previous FP&A experience in a commercial environment preferred.
• Ability to build partnerships across and outside finance.
• Excellent influencing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly closing activities including variance analysis and reporting.
• Analyze key KPIs from LOB/SBU perspective incl. P&L, WC and Cash metrics.
• Provide strong financial partnership to drive business results (P&L & BS) including HR, R&D, and marketing.
• Support STRAP/AOP process from a Financial perspective with the business & ISC.
• Develop robust estimating process for midterm and quarterly SROs.
• Coordinate and lead Finance aspects of Capex with Global Finance.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Honeywell Accounting Policies.
• Partner on special projects and ad hoc analyses.

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly closing activities including variance analysis, reporting and other key deliverables
• Ensure solid weekly / monthly analysis of all major business KPI’s from an overall LOB / SBU perspective incl. all P&L / WC and Cash metrics within depth analysis on major variance drivers in a standard and robust format.
• Strong Functional and business support on an LOB / SBU level to ensure strong financial partnership is in place to drive business results (P&L + B/sheet) including but not limited to HR support (OEF), R&D (NPI), Strategic Marketing on overall LOB level Price tracking and commercial effectiveness. Robust tracking of Functional spend, Indirect spend, OEF etc.
• Support and coordinate the STRAP / AOP process from a Financial perspective in close partnership with the business & ISC
• Develop and enable strong and robust estimating process for midterm (3+9 / 5+7/ 8+4) and for quarterly Short Range Outlooks & Summary of Risks & Opportunities (SRO) by close partnership with the business.
• Coordinate and lead Finance aspect of Capex process in partnership with Pole / Global Finance
• Ensure compliance with all corporate statutory laws, US GAAP and Honeywell Accounting Policies
• Partner Special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant with 6 to 10 years of experience in Accounting/Finance with strong knowledge of Commercial / Operations finance & Financial Planning & Analysis
• Hands on experience in the area of Financial planning & Analysis & experience in dealing with outside India office / Global Finance team
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX Compliance
• Strong business process and controls orientation
• Experience in a manufacturing environment or an ISC Finance function preferred.
• Previous commercial site FP&A experience preferred.
• Ability to develop strong partnerships within and outside of finance irrespective of reporting lines
• Excellent influencing skills
• Strong project mgmt skills with demonstrated track record.
