Job summary

Ciklum in Pune, India, is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to drive IoT projects from concept to production. You will write production-grade Embedded C for 32‑bit MCUs, with strong hands-on experience in STM32 and ESP32, and integration of MQTT, HTTP, CoAP over Wi‑Fi or cellular.

You will work with RTOS such as FreeRTOS, or bare‑metal development, and collaborate across hardware and software teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of embedded software development with a track record of IoT projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for IoT devices using Embedded C on 32-bit MCUs (STM32/ESP32).
• Deliver projects from concept to production with robust software.
• Implement communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP, CoAP) over Wi‑Fi or cellular.
• Utilize RTOS (FreeRTOS) or bare‑metal development as appropriate.
• Perform debugging with JTAG/SWD and verify with oscilloscopes/logic analyzers.
• Manage code with Git in a collaborative environment.

Role & responsibilities

• Experience: 6+ years of experience in embedded software development, with a proven track record of delivering successful IoT-based projects from concept to production.
• Core Language: Strong, production-grade programming experience in Embedded C.
• Microcontrollers: Deep, hands‑on experience with 32‑bit microcontrollers, specifically STM (e.g., STM32) and ESP (e.g., ESP32) architectures.
• Protocols: Proficiency with communication protocols, including:
• Peripherals: UART, I2C, SPI.
• Network/IoT: MQTT, HTTP, CoAP, Wi‑Fi, BLE, or Cellular (LTE‑M/NB‑IoT).
• OS Concepts: Strong understanding of RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS) and bare-metal development.
• Tools: Experience with debugging tools (JTAG, SWD, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers) and version control systems (Git).
