Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Senior Executive – Land Acquisition to support land acquisition activities for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and hybrid projects across India. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and securing land parcels, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Land Acquisition & Due Diligence

• Identify and acquire private, government, and forest land required for renewable energy projects.
• Conduct preliminary due diligence, land title verification, and ownership assessments.
• Support the preparation of land acquisition proposals and documentation for approvals.

Regulatory & Legal Coordination

• Facilitate approvals related to revenue, forest, and tribal lands from relevant government authorities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable land laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with legal teams for resolution of land-related issues and documentation review.

Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with landowners, local communities, government officials, and district authorities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders to facilitate project development.
• Assist in resolving right-of-way (ROW), compensation, and site access-related issues.

Project Support

• Support project teams in land procurement planning and execution within project timelines.
• Monitor land acquisition progress and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Coordinate with internal functions including Project Development, Legal, Engineering, and Finance teams.

Operational Coordination

• Ensure seamless land handover to project execution teams.
• Track project milestones and proactively identify risks impacting land availability.
• Support site operations by addressing local issues that may impact project progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Degree/Diploma in Agriculture, Law, Rural Development, or related fields will be preferred.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in land acquisition, land management, or project development, preferably in the renewable energy, infrastructure, power, or real estate sectors.
• Experience in dealing with government authorities, local communities, and landowners.
• Familiarity with land records, title verification, and statutory approval processes.
