Job summary

ZS Associates is seeking a seasoned ServiceNow Developer/Administrator to design, develop, and enhance the ServiceNow platform. You will administer ITSM, CMDB-related modules, and build custom apps to streamline client workflows.

You’ll work with modern automation tools (Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Virtual Agent) and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions while supporting upgrades and governance. Hybrid work and frequent travel are expected.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of IT experience with 3–5+ years on ServiceNow development.
• Advanced server-side and client-side scripting, performance optimization, and debugging.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes.
• Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Virtual Agent.
• Familiarity with upgrades, release cycles, and integrations via APIs.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and support ServiceNow across ITSM, CSM, and related modules.
• Implement and optimize ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge).
• Develop and maintain custom applications on the ServiceNow platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Flow Designer, Catalog Items.
• Implement workflows and automations to improve service efficiency.
• Support platform upgrades, patching, and release management.
• Develop and manage integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Servers.
• Enable self-service features using Now Assist and Knowledge Management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and governance of standards.

ServiceNow Developer / Administrator

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and enhance solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role involves configuring out-of-the-box modules, developing custom applications, and integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems to support business workflows and drive digital transformation initiatives.

What you'll do:

ServiceNow Developer / Administrator in the Enterprise will…

• Administer, configure, and support the ServiceNow platform across ITSM, CSM and other aligned modules
• Implement and enhance ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management
• Develop and maintain custom applications using ServiceNow App Engine
• Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions using: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies. Script Includes, Flow Designer, and Catalog Items
• Implement workflows and automations to improve service efficiency and reduce manual effort
• Support platform upgrades, patching, and release management activities
• Develop and manage integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Servers
• Enable self‑service capabilities leveraging Now Assist, Virtual Agent and Knowledge Management
• Support CMDB and Asset Management processes, ensuring data quality and CSDM alignment
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues and perform root cause analysis
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles
• Ensure platform security, performance, and adherence to governance and best practices
• Own platform architecture, customization strategy, and overall solution design
• Review and approve technical designs, scripts, and integration patterns
• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and governance

What you’ll bring:

• 5–8+ years of overall IT experience with 3–5+ years on ServiceNow development
• Advanced expertise in server-side and client-side scripting, performance optimization, and debugging
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting
• Solid understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management processes
• Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Virtual Agent
• Working experience with ServiceNow upgrades and release cycles
• Knowledge of integrations, authentication methods, and APIs
• Experience designing scalable automations and reusable components
• Familiarity with CMDB concepts, Discovery, and service mapping (preferred)
• Fluency in English
