Job summary

Cencora in India’s Maharashtra is seeking a senior Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and deliver scalable Experience Cloud solutions. You will collaborate with UX/UI, product owners, and architects to build branded portals, communities, and self-service experiences for customers, partners, and employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years Salesforce development with at least 2+ years on Salesforce Experience Cloud.
  • Proficiency in LWC, Aura, Apex, SOQL, and declarative automation tools (Flow, Process Builder).
  • Strong Experience with Experience Builder, theme customization, page layouts, branding sets, and audience personalization.
  • Solid understanding of Experience Cloud security model: guest profiles, sharing rules, membership, login flows, and external user licensing.
  • Hands-on experience with front-end technologies HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript in Salesforce context.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CMS and content management within Experience Cloud.
  • Familiarity with SSO, OAuth 2.0, SAML in community login/registration flows.
  • Experience with Salesforce DX, Git-based version control, and deployment best practices.
  • Active Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy Salesforce Experience Cloud solutions including customer portals and partner communities.
  • Develop Lightning Web Components and Aura components tailored for Experience Cloud pages with responsive, accessible design.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI to implement branded experiences using Experience Builder, themes, CSS, and design tokens.
  • Configure Experience Builder features: navigation, layouts, audiences, content management, SEO.
  • Implement authentication and access control including guest access, login flows, and SSO/OAuth/SAML.
  • Surface CRM data (cases, orders, accounts, knowledge) to external users securely via Experience Cloud sites.
  • Maintain Salesforce Knowledge integrations for self-service portals.
  • Develop integrations between Experience Cloud and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, named credentials, platform events.
  • Enforce security best practices (guests, CRUD/FLS) and CI/CD deployment.
  • Mentor juniors, conduct code reviews, promote best practices within the team.
  • Monitor performance and analytics, resolve bottlenecks, stay current with releases.
  • Create documentation: design docs, component libraries, deployment guides.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and team planning.

Job Summary

The Salesforce Senior Developer on the Salesforce Experience Cloud team will be a key technical contributor responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging, scalable digital experience solutions built on the Salesforce Experience Cloud (formerly Community Cloud) platform. This role partners closely with UX designers, business stakeholders, product owners, and solution architects to create intuitive, branded, and highly functional portals, communities, and self-service experiences for customers, partners, and employees. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Salesforce Experience Cloud configuration and customization, strong front-end development skills within the Salesforce ecosystem, and a user-centric mindset that balances technical excellence with exceptional digital experience delivery.

What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and deploy Salesforce Experience Cloud solutions including customer portals, partner communities, employee hubs, and self-service sites using LWR (Lightning Web Runtime) and Aura-based templates.
  • Develop custom Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura components tailored for Experience Cloud pages, ensuring responsiveness, accessibility (WCAG compliance), and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement pixel-perfect, branded digital experiences using Experience Builder, custom themes, CSS, and design system tokens.
  • Configure and customize Experience Builder features including navigation menus, page layouts, audience targeting, content management, and SEO settings.
  • Implement and manage user authentication and access control mechanisms including guest user access, login flows, self-registration, social sign-on (SSO/OAuth), and community membership models.
  • Design and develop data-driven components that surface CRM data (cases, orders, accounts, knowledge articles) to external users within Experience Cloud sites securely and efficiently.
  • Build and maintain Salesforce Knowledge integrations within Experience Cloud for self-service help centers and FAQ portals.
  • Develop integrations between Experience Cloud and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, named credentials, and platform events to deliver seamless end-to-end user journeys.
  • Enforce platform security best practices including guest profile hardening, sharing rule configuration, CRUD/FLS enforcement, and OWASP-aligned secure coding standards.
  • Partner with the DevOps team to ensure Experience Cloud components and configurations are properly version-controlled and deployed through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship to junior developers, and champion Experience Cloud development best practices across the team.
  • Monitor site performance, analytics, and user engagement metrics, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks or usability issues.
  • Stay current with Salesforce tri-annual releases and evaluate new Experience Cloud features (e.g., LWR enhancements, Salesforce CMS updates, Digital Experiences innovations) for team applicability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including solution design documents, component libraries, site architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, with at least 2+ years of focused hands‑on experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud (Community Cloud).
  • Proficiency in Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, Apex, SOQL, and declarative automation tools (Flow, Process Builder).
  • Strong experience with Experience Builder, including theme customization, page layouts, branding sets, and audience-based personalization.
  • Solid understanding of Experience Cloud security model: guest user profiles, sharing rules, community membership, login flows, and external user licensing.

  • Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant, Platform Developer II, or Salesforce Application Architect certifications.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce CMS Connect and headless CMS integrations for content‑rich experience delivery.
  • Experience with Salesforce Digital Experiences analytics, including CRM Analytics dashboards embedded in community pages.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Order Management, Service Cloud, or Commerce Cloud integrations surfaced through Experience Cloud portals.
  • Experience with CDN configuration, caching strategies, and performance optimization for high‑traffic Experience Cloud sites.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, or life sciences industries, particularly with customer or partner portal implementations (aligned with Cencora's business domain).
  • Strong UX sensibility and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical implementation and digital experience strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to component libraries or internal developer enablement.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, personalization strategies, and engagement optimization within digital experience platforms.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience required. 4+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, application development, platform engineering, or a related field required. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02), AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals, RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) certification, or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of software and systems engineering principles, development lifecycle practices, testing strategies, and production support models. Knowledge of system architecture, application design, integration patterns, debugging techniques, version control, and deployment approaches. Knowledge of performance engineering, reliability, scalability, secure design, and operational resilience concepts. Skill in coding, configuration, technical design, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving. Skill in using development frameworks, testing tools, source control platforms, CI/CD pipelines, collaboration tools, and work management systems. Ability to lead moderately complex to complex engineering work independently while applying sound judgment, quality standards, and risk awareness. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicate solution options, dependencies, risks, and progress clearly. Knowledge of advanced software and systems engineering principles, development lifecycle practices, testing strategies, and production support models.
