Job summary

Dover is seeking a Senior Engineer - System Electronics in Bengaluru to drive end-to-end VAVE programs and optimize electronic assemblies. You will lead design-to-cost activities, manage documentation, and ensure compliance across performance, safety, and metrology requirements.

The role involves collaboration with manufacturing and sourcing to implement NPI changes, build pipelines for cost savings, and communicate status to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must have strong exposure to VAVE, cost engineering and productivity initiatives.
• Hands-on experience in electronic hardware design, validation and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with electronic CAD tools such as Altium or OrCAD.
• Working knowledge of PLM/PDM systems and the engineering change process.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end VAVE programs for electrical/electronic assemblies and build a prioritized savings pipeline.
• Perform should-cost analysis, teardown benchmarking, and design-to-cost assessments with sourcing teams.
• Prepare and manage engineering documentation including specs, test plans, reports, ECR/ECO packages and compliance evidence.
• Ensure changes meet product performance, EMC/EMI, thermal, safety and metrology requirements; support NPI/production.
• Present periodic status on savings pipeline, realized savings, risks and timelines to stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end VAVE programs for electrical/electronic assemblies, including PCBAs, harnesses, HMIs, and related subsystems, Build and maintain a prioritized VAVE opportunity pipeline aligned to business savings targets.
• Perform should-cost analysis, teardown benchmarking, and design-to-cost assessments to identify improvement opportunities. Collaborate with sourcing and supplier quality teams to evaluate supplier proposals and implement cost/productivity projects.
• Support technical execution of approved ideas through feasibility, prototyping, validation, and release. Prepare and manage all engineering documentation, including specifications, test plans, reports, ECR/ECO packages, and compliance evidence.
• Ensure changes meet product performance, reliability, EMC/EMI, thermal, safety, and metrology requirements. - Support manufacturing plants with NPI/implementation, pilot builds, and issue resolution for VAVE-related changes.
• Present periodic status on savings pipeline, realized savings, risks, and implementation timelines to stakeholders.

Must Have Skills
