Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an NFVI SDN Engineer to maintain telco cloud infrastructure including SDN solutions and network virtualization. You will work with OpenStack and Kubernetes platforms, monitor performance, and automate tasks with Bash, Python, and Ansible.

Solid networking knowledge and 5+ years of experience are preferred. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support to customers, working with Ericsson hardware platforms and storage products.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Electronics, CS, Telecommunication or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Ericsson NFVI SDN environments.
• Strong networking background with Cisco/Juniper equipment knowledge.
• Experience with OpenStack and Kubernetes for network virtualization.

About this opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated NFVI SDN Engineer to join our team at Ericsson. As an NFVI SDN Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the telco cloud network infrastructure, including switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls, and SDN solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of the network and provide technical support to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong networking background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-first mindset.

What you will do:

• Maintain and manage Telco cloud network infrastructure NFVI&SDN (Ericsson)
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operations of the network.
• Provide technical support to customers and address their network-related issues.
• Familiarity with OpenStack and Kubernetes platforms (Redhat/Mirantis) for network virtualization.
• Knowledge of Hyperscale Cloud Hardware Platforms (Ericsson HDS8000 & BSP8100, Dell and HPE)
• Good Working knowledge of Cloud Storage Products (Nexenta/ScaleIO/Ceph)
• Monitor network performance using tools like Zabbix, ZenOSS, and Nagios Log Server.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Bash, Python, and Ansible for automation and network management tasks.
• Collaborate with team members and share knowledge to enhance the teams overall capabilities.
• Skilled with Network Technologies (Switches, Routers and Load Balancers)
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot SDN solutions, specifically Pluribus Networks | Ericsson SDN (ODL).
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to NFVI SDN.

The skills you bring:

• Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience or equivalent in Engineering preferably in Electronics, Computer science, Telecommunication or equivalent.
• Experience level 5+ years inEricsson NFVI SDN
• Strong Networking Background (Cisco, Juniper – Switches, Routers)
• Knowledge of Network Products like Load Balancers (F5, A10), Firewall (Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, FortiGate & A10)
• Good Working knowledge of Pluribus Networks | Ericsson SDN (ODL)
• Familiar with OpenStack/Kubernetes (Redhat, Mirantis)
• Knowledge of Tools like Zabbix, ZenOSS, Nagios Log Server
• Scripting Knowledge via Bash, Python, Ansible
• Great Interpersonal Skills
