Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Bangalore is seeking a motivated SPICE Modeling Engineer to support advanced device modeling in a global team.

You will develop compact models for LDMOS, CMOS, BJT, diode, resistor and capacitor devices, with particular focus on high‑voltage LDMOS and CMOS modeling. Responsibilities include characterizing inter‑device parasitics, multi‑physics effects (electrical, thermal, mechanical) and long‑term degradation.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics with strong device physics background.
  • Experience with high‑voltage LDMOS and CMOS modeling is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SPICE-like simulators and device-level measurements is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compact models for LDMOS, CMOS, BJT, diode, resistor and capacitor devices.
  • Emphasize high‑voltage LDMOS and CMOS modeling.
  • Characterize and model inter‑device parasitics including bipolar action.
  • Perform multi‑physics characterization (electrical, thermal, mechanical).
  • Model long‑term device degradation for MOS and LDMOS.

We seek a motivated, experienced SPICE Modeling Engineer to support advanced process development in Analog Devices Inc (ADI). We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in high-voltage LDMOS and CMOS modeling and inter-device cross-coupling modeling through parasitic bipolar action in monolithic silicon. The candidate must excel at device physics, be eager to have hands-on experience with electrical measurements and explore the limitations of electronic instruments. This role is not just about knowledge of various modeling tools but about getting your hands dirty and pushing the boundaries of electronic instruments. We are the ADI global modeling team at multiple locations in the US, Ireland, and India, and this position is located in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Develop compact models of LDMOS, CMOS, BJT, diode, resistor, and capacitor devices.
  • Particular attention is given to high-voltage LDMOS and CMOS modeling for this position.
  • Characterization and modeling of inter-device parasitics, including those with bipolar transistor action.
  • Characterization and modeling that involves multi-physics disciplines (electrical, thermal, mechanical).
  • Long-term device degradation modeling for MOS and LDMOS.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics with a strong device physics background.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experienced device modeling expert with PhD in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics and with strong physical intuition of electrothermal, piezoelectric, and bipolar device action.
  • Strong knowledge of Python programming.
  • Familiar with SPICE-like circuit simulator
