Job summary

Forvia in India is seeking a seasoned Quality Manager to drive adherence to IATF 16949, lead cross-functional teams and ensure robust process controls across SMT, assembly, and soldering lines.

You will own quality objectives, manage data traceability, lead 8D problem solving with customers and suppliers, and mentor teams while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum education level: Engineer Bachelor or technician with equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years related experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive industry preferred).
• Exposure in Electronics manufacturing and strong knowledge of SMT, Assembly, selective soldering, wave soldering.
• Minimum 3 years related leading teams.
• High technical expertise and understanding.
• Great skills in the application of MICROSOFT standard software (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook...).
• Ability to work in a matrix-organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation as per IATF 16949 and warrant that all standards and procedures are complied with special focus on Customer standards.
• Represents the customer within the plant and acts accordingly.
• Participates to the definition of the plant quality objectives, monitors progress and implements corrective action in case of deviation.
• Assure the completeness and archive of all relevant products/process data for traceability and product liability.
• Being responsible for the complaint management for both customers and suppliers ensures that complaints are managed in due time by using adequate Problem-Solving techniques and that 8D reports are robust and regularly updated in QSS.
• Manages the quality budget, allocation of resources, personnel development.
• Ensures capitalization and transversalization and shares best practices.
• Has the authority and the responsibility to stop any process or product delivery in case of serious non-conformance.
