Job summary

DISH Network Technologies India Pvt. Ltd is seeking an experienced Application Support professional to manage incident and problem management, monitor production health, and drive automation to reduce manual intervention.

You will work with Development to root cause issues, own the production environment, and ensure SLA compliance while supporting Retail and Telecom domains. Shift work in 24x7 environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 5+ years of Application Support experience.
• Strong experience with Dynatrace for alerts and dashboards.
• Proficient in SQL, data modeling and complex queries.
• Proficient in Python and shell scripting for automation.
• AWS knowledge including EKS, EC2, Route53, CloudWatch basics.
• Experience with REST APIs and API testing tools.
• Retail and Telecom domain knowledge is a plus.
• Able to work in 24x7 shift rotation and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Incident management from start to resolution with root-cause analysis.
• Proactive identification and resolution of production issues.
• Own the production environment and monitor system health.
• Implement corrective actions and drive SLA compliance.
• Handle change requests and incident tickets efficiently.
• Aim for 90% automation and reduced manual intervention.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Able to perform effective Incident Management from incident start through resolution, partnering with Development to determine root causes, and driving rigorous Problem Management to follow through on actions
• Proactive identification of production issues and resolution
• Own the production environment, monitoring availability and ensure a holistic system health
• Identify and implement corrective actions to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Complete assigned tasks for change requests and incident tickets
• Resolve issues within SLA
• Achieve 90% automation and reduce manual intervention
  

Skills, Experience And Requirements

• Engineering degree with 5+ years of experience in Application Support
• Dynatrace - experience in analysing issue, configuring alerts, creating dashboards (minimum of 2 to 3 years)
• SQL Queries - experience in writing complex queries and working with data models (minimum of 2 to 3 years)
• Expert in Apigee, Apigee-x and Seibel
• Scripting/Programming - Python programming preferred, Shell scripting
• AWS - Preferred AWS Solution Architect Associate - should have knowledge around EKS, load balancers, EC2, Route 53, Multi region, Cloudwatch querying a must
• APIs - Good understanding of REST APIs and working experience with Postman/Ready API
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Good functional knowledge around Retail and Telecom
• Ready to work in shifts - 24x7
• Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
