Job summary

WSP in India is seeking a Mechanical Engineering professional to provide technical support to the Middle East Power & Water business. You will handle general arrangement drawings, equipment specifications, datasheets, and BOMs for Power & Water projects.

You will evaluate tenders, vendor bids, prepare clarifications and reports, review engineering drawings, and coordinate with electrical, instrumentation and civil teams to support both new builds and existing plants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare / review general arrangement drawings of pump houses and process units.
• Create specifications, datasheets and BOM for power & water projects.
• Perform technical evaluation of tenders and vendor bids; prepare clarifications.
• Review engineering drawings and documents.
• Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation and civil teams.

Job description

To provide technical support to the Middle East Power & Water business in the field of Mechanical engineering

The range of activities include:

• Preparation / Review general arrangement drawings of Pump house, process units etc, various equipments (i.e. pumps, compressors, blowers, cranes, valves etc ) specifications, datasheets, bill of material etc for for Power & Water related projects.
• Technical evaluation of tenders, vendor offers, bids. Preparation and closure of clarifications and report preparation.
• Review of Engineering Drawings and Documents.
• Co ordination with other inter discipline team like Electrical, Instrumentation and Civil.
• General technical support to Utility Companies, Plant Owners, Project Developer Companies, Banks & Governments pre/post financial close for new build plants as well as existing operational plant
