Job description

Overview

In this position, the candidate will work with cross‑functional teams to support a Linux based automotive platform in a virtualized environment. The role requires ownership of Linux vehicle platform enablement across customer programs, integration and maintenance of Linux kernel and kernel platform components, and solid experience with kernel build strategies such as Yocto‑based and Bazel‑based flows.

• Kernel configuration, version alignment, and kernel bring‑up.
• Boot validation and early boot debugging in stand‑alone and virtualized environments.
• Development of device drivers or services/application for Linux platform, with features required for automotive virtualization use‑cases.
• Customizing LV builds for headless versions and security‑related distributions.
• Collaborating with global platform, kernel, and virtualization teams to deliver stable releases.
• Leading technical discussions, design reviews, and onboarding activities for kernel topics.
• Applying operating systems concepts such as scheduling, memory management, and device drivers.
• Using debug tools including GDB, JTAG debugger, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

Expected experience: 2 to 8 years in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or similar.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and at least 2 years of software engineering or related work experience.
• Or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and at least 1 year of software engineering or related work experience.
• Or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages including C, C++, Java, Python, or similar.
