WSP India is seeking a senior Hydrogeologist to lead groundwater projects across oil, gas and mining sectors. You will mentor regional teams, deliver high-quality hydrogeology work, and collaborate with global experts on complex assignments.

The role requires extensive UK hydrogeology experience, strong client engagement, and the ability to manage projects across borders. Travel may be required.

Qualificações

• Significant experience in Hydrogeology at senior level in consultancy or related field.
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Hydrogeology, Geology or related field.
• Over 10 years in hydrogeology, focused on oil & gas and mining sectors.
• Registered Chartered/Professional Geologist or member of related body.
• Strong local oil & gas and mining industry contacts.
• UK hydrogeological experience is essential; international projects valued.
• Experience supporting hydrogeology for infrastructure projects (road, rail, pipeline).
• Experience in hydrogeology for water resources/environment and development projects.

Responsibilities

• Health and safety leadership
• Guidance and mentoring of regional physical hydrogeology team
• Work collaboratively with other senior members of the Hydrogeology and Mining teams
• Lead physical hydrogeology components for local, regional and international consulting projects so they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to client and WSP | Golder's standards
• Deliver leading practice consulting services to internal and external clients
• Establish linkages with other business units to support and enhance service delivery
• Develop groundwater projects for oil and gas and mining projects at various stages of development, ranging from exploration phase through mine closure
• Frequent and active interaction with client, local and regional team of groundwater professionals, and our local experts in groundwater modeling and geochemistry
• Potential for travel domestically and internationally to meet project needs

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the field of Hydrogeology (having reached a senior level in consultancy or in any other relevant industrial/utility/regulatory/academic profession).
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Hydrogeology or Geology or a related field
• Over 10 years' experience in the hydrogeology industry, primarily focused in oil and gas and mining sectors.
• Registered Chartered/Professional Geologist or Member of a related professional body is required
• Connected to the local oil and gas and mining business, with active contacts and clientele
• Professional registration / chartered status with a relevant industry body (e.g. Geological Society).
• UK hydrogeological experience essential, international project experience beneficial but not a role requirement.
• Experience providing specialist hydrogeological support to major linear infrastructure scheme projects (road, rail & pipeline developments) covering designs, EIAs and Regulatory Permitting.
• Experience providing specialist hydrogeological support to water resources/environment projects; and/or built development/industry; covering drainage designs, EIAs, Regulatory Permitting and operations (including optimisation/protection).
• Experience in designing/delivering a wide range of complex/challenging hydrogeological investigations.
• Experience managing projects entailing significant groundwater resources, modelling or rising groundwater/mine water components.
• Team player characteristics with a desire to work collaboratively/flexibly both within the UK and internationally.
• Experience of and desire to mentor and develop staff.
• Good communication/reporting skills and a desire to contribute to our business/service development.
