WSP India is seeking a Senior Engineer-Energy and Microclimate Advisory to join our Environmental and Sustainability team in India (Bangalore/Noida/Mumbai). You will lead energy modeling and building performance analyses to deliver high‑quality consulting services.

The role requires 6–10 years of experience with IES VE, knowledge of energy codes, and collaboration across disciplines. You will mentor juniors, contribute to proposals, and help advance sustainable design.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, building physics, energy engineering, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 6–10 years of experience in building energy modeling, performance simulations and building physics analysis.
• Proficiency in IES VE (mandatory); Rhino (optional); Envimet (optional) and AI tools (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of building physics, energy codes and sustainability standards.
• Experience with energy‑efficient design strategies including MEP optimization, renewables, natural ventilation, daylighting.
• Familiar with LEED, WELL or BREEAM and their requirements.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and communication; able to work on multiple projects.
• Collaborative, outcome driven approach; background verification with WSP India.
• Excellent written and spoken English; capable of client-facing interactions.
• Contributes to proposals and maintains knowledge sharing within the team.

WSP is seeking a Senior Engineer-Energy and Microclimate Advisory with more than 6 years of IESVE energy modeling experience to join our large and growing Environmental and Sustainability team (Bangalore/Noida/Mumbai) to work with our Middle East Earth and Environment Advisory team.

The successful applicant will operate within a team of environmental and sustainability professionals delivering the highest standards of technical work and aiding the continued success of the team by being an integral part of our client focused delivery of projects. As a Senior team member specializing in energy advisory, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, and optimizing building systems to achieve optimal performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability. You will be responsible for conducting detailed simulations, analyzing building physics data, and providing recommendations to improve energy performance, thermal comfort, and indoor air quality. Responsibilities

Successful candidate must have:

• Manage multiple projects concurrently to deliver energy efficient and sustainable consulting services to clients.
• Conduct detailed building energy modeling simulations using industry-specific software to evaluate and optimize building energy performance, including HVAC systems, lighting, solar shading, and renewable energy options.
• Analyse building physics data, including thermal and indoor environmental quality measurements, to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhanced building performance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to integrate energy-efficient solutions and sustainable design principles into building projects from the initial stages through construction and occupancy.
• Prepare high quality technical reports, presentations, and recommendations to communicate findings and proposed strategies to clients and project stakeholders effectively.
• Collaborate with the larger team at WSP to develop innovative solutions, contribute to research projects, and share knowledge within the company.
• Provide expert advice on sustainability best practices, including renewable energy, energy efficiency.
• Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and best practices in energy efficiency and climate change.
• Contribute to technical proposals and build relationships with potential clients.
• Manage and mentor team members and track engagement budgets.
• Lead and manage client meetings, presentations, deliverables, report submissions and resource planning.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, building physics, energy engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• 6-10 years of strong experience working in a similar role involving building energy modeling, performance simulations, and building physics analysis.
• Proficiency in industry-specific software, such as IES VE (Mandatory), Rhino (Optional), Envimet (optional) and AI tools (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of building physics principles, energy codes, and sustainability standards.
• Experience with energy-efficient design strategies, including strong knowledge on MEP system optimization, renewable energy technologies, natural ventilation, and daylighting.
• Familiarity with sustainability certifications, such as LEED, WELL, or BREEAM, and their requirements.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making ability with flexible mindset
• Excellent written English and verbal communication, presentation and organisational skills.
• Experience of working on multiple projects, simultaneously.
