Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a CAD Applications Engineer to join the Design Verification team in Hyderabad, India.

You will evaluate, improve EDA tools, and collaborate with Design and Layout teams to boost productivity, debugging in-house and vendor tools and building scalable automation workflows. You will deploy AI-assisted insights, tackle tool issues, and contribute to continuous improvement while adhering to standards and legal requirements to deliver high-quality hardware

Qualifications

• Verilog and SystemVerilog experience for hardware verification.
• Proficient with EDA tools: Incisive/Xcelium, VCS, ModelSim.
• Strong scripting in Python or PERL and familiarity with TCL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and support robust, configurable, and scalable tools for hardware verification across multiple projects.
• Identify, gather, and analyze metrics to improve automation reliability and DV performance.
• Debug vendor tool issues and interact with DV team to solve problems.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing AI-enabled enhancements within scope of work.

Job Description

As a CAD Applications Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working in a collaborative, production support role evaluating, improving EDA and debugging both in-house and commercial Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and flows for Design Verification . You will work closely with the Design and Layout teams to increase their productivity and work efficiency.

Responsibilities and Tasks include, but not limited to:

• Develop, deploy, and support robust, configurable, and scalable tools to enable hardware verification across multiple projects .
• Identify, gather, and analyze metrics for improved automation reliability and hardware verification performance .
• Role involves debugging vendor tool issues .
• Interacting with DV team to help solve their problems .
• Implement new functionality to solve emerging problems or to optimize already existing methods.
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Verilog and/or SystemVerilog ,Assertions.
• Must be very experienced with Incisive/Xcelium , Synopsys VCS, or Modelsim.
• Strong programming abilities in Python and/or PERL are required; TCL is a plus
• Experience with UVM, VMM, OVM C, or C++ a plus
• Experience in coverage management VMANAGER.
• Familiarity with Verdi, and/or Simvision is considered a plus.
• Experience with front end web development and UI is a plus.
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
