Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Assistant Manager to design and optimize electrical systems for water treatment projects in Thane. You will perform power flow studies, short circuit analyses, and detailed sizing, while preparing robust electrical specifications, drawings, and tests.

You will lead a team, coordinate with clients and consultants, and ensure on-time delivery of engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7–8 years experience or equivalent exposure to fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and simulation software.
• Knowledge of chemical process engineering and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineering and sizing of electrical equipment.
• System designs like power flow studies, short circuit studies, fault level calculations, load flow details, single line diagrams.
• Earthing calculations, lightning protections, battery sizing and selections, lighting calculations, cable sizing.
• Preparation of engineering documents, specifications, RFQs, drawings and data sheets.
• Review of design deliverables like block drawings, cable schedules, layouts and cable tray designs.
• Client-site issue handling and necessary customer support.
• Manage a team of engineers to meet deliverables on schedule.
• Coordinate with customers and consultants; cross-functional collaboration.
