ReNew is seeking a Senior Engineer- Artificial intelligence & Data Science to join our Gurgaon team. You will build GenAI apps, enterprise assistants, chatbots and AI agents, and develop robust AI workflows.

Responsibilities include creating RAG pipelines, tool-calling capabilities and LangChain/LangGraph integrations; you will deploy production backend services using Python/FastAPI on Azure, implement tests, CI/CD and observability.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, IT or related field.
• 2–4 years in Backend, Software, AI/ML Eng or Data Science.
• Strong hands-on Python and API development experience.
• Experience with FastAPI or comparable Python frameworks.
• Experience building LLM/GenAI applications.

Job Description

Role- Senior Engineer- Artificial intelligence & Data Science

Experience: 2-4 years

Location- Gurgoan

Key Responsibilities

AI & Application Development

• Build GenAI applications, enterprise assistants, chatbots and AI agents.


• Develop RAG pipelines, tool-calling capabilities and LLM workflows.


• Integrate AI applications with APIs, databases and enterprise data sources.


• Develop reusable AI components and services.

Backend & API Engineering

• Develop production backend services using Python and FastAPI.


• Build secure, scalable and documented REST APIs.


• Implement request validation, authentication, error handling, retries and rate limiting.


• Write modular, maintainable and testable production code.


• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.

Agentic AI & Integration

• Develop workflows using LangGraph/LangChain.


• Implement agent routing, state, tool execution and structured outputs.


• Expose backend, analytical or ML capabilities as reusable AI tools/services.


• Support grounding, retrieval and hallucination-control mechanisms.

Cloud, Deployment & Observability

• Containerise AI services using Docker.


• Deploy and support applications primarily on Microsoft Azure.


• Support CI/CD, environment configuration and secure secrets handling.


• Implement health checks, structured logging and LLM tracing.


• Instrument AI applications using Langfuse or equivalent tools.


• Troubleshoot API, LLM, agent and deployment issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Data Science or related field.


• 2-4 years in Backend, Software, AI/ML Engineering or Data Science.


• Strong hands-on Python and API development experience.


• Experience with FastAPI or comparable Python frameworks.


• Practical experience building LLM/GenAI applications.


• Production or near-production AI application exposure preferred.
