Job Summary

The role is heavily focused on optimizing manufacturing processes, particularly in the areas of CNC machining, tooling, and fixturing. This position involves developing and refining machining strategies for development components used in blower and vacuum pump assemblies. The engineer is responsible for selecting appropriate cutting tools, designing custom fixtures for complex geometries, and programming CNC machines to achieve high precision and repeatability. A key aspect of the role is driving productivity improvements by reducing cycle times, minimizing tool wear, and enhancing process stability through data‑driven analysis and shop‑floor trials. The engineer also contributes to localization initiatives, identifying opportunities to source parts and tooling from domestic suppliers to reduce costs and improve lead times. Collaboration with vendors, tool manufacturers, and internal cross‑functional teams is essential to validate machining processes and ensure quality standards. Additionally, the role includes conducting time studies, implementing lean manufacturing practices, and supporting continuous improvement projects to elevate overall shop efficiency and output.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize CNC machining processes, program on Dossan VMC, Mazak HMC and Mazak Integrex I200/i300 machine for blower and vacuum pump components like rotors, side plate and housings.
  • Implement tooling and fixturing solutions to improve machining accuracy and reduce setup time.
  • Drive productivity improvements through cycle time reduction, tool life enhancement, and process stability.
  • Conduct time studies and process audits to identify bottlenecks and implement lean manufacturing practices.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support New Product Development (NPD) and Value Engineering (VE) initiatives.
  • Ensure manufacturability of development parts by coordinating with design, production, and quality teams.
  • Maintain documentation and process standards using ERP systems.
  • Interface with vendors and tool manufacturers to evaluate and select cutting tools and machining technologies.
Basic Qualifications
  • Diploma or B tech in Mechanical with 5-year relevant experience.
  • Proficient to write, read and speak English and Hindi.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Work from office – Occasional travel may be required.
