The role is heavily focused on optimizing manufacturing processes, particularly in the areas of CNC machining, tooling, and fixturing. This position involves developing and refining machining strategies for development components used in blower and vacuum pump assemblies. The engineer is responsible for selecting appropriate cutting tools, designing custom fixtures for complex geometries, and programming CNC machines to achieve high precision and repeatability. A key aspect of the role is driving productivity improvements by reducing cycle times, minimizing tool wear, and enhancing process stability through data‑driven analysis and shop‑floor trials. The engineer also contributes to localization initiatives, identifying opportunities to source parts and tooling from domestic suppliers to reduce costs and improve lead times. Collaboration with vendors, tool manufacturers, and internal cross‑functional teams is essential to validate machining processes and ensure quality standards. Additionally, the role includes conducting time studies, implementing lean manufacturing practices, and supporting continuous improvement projects to elevate overall shop efficiency and output.
