Position Overview
The Senior Engineer, AI is a key individual contributor within Ensemble’s Analytics and AI organization. This role is responsible for translating complex business and operational challenges into scalable analytical, AI, and automation solutions. The Senior Associate partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations stakeholders to design, build, and deploy analytics and AI models that enhance decision‑making, reduce friction across revenue cycle workflows, and enable measurable operational outcomes. The role operates with a high degree of ownership, contributing independently while aligning with architectural patterns and quality standards defined by leads and management.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy analytics and AI solutions aligned with business priorities.
- Perform advanced data analysis to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
- Build and maintain production‑ready models and analytical pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure solution relevance and impact.
- Apply best practices for code quality, testing, documentation, and performance.
- Support continuous improvement of analytics frameworks and standards.
- Mentor junior team members through informal guidance and review.
- Own analytics and AI solutions aimed at reducing revenue cycle friction and improving operational efficiency; manage model development, pipeline execution, and milestone delivery.
- Design, build, test, and enhance predictive models, scoring frameworks, and analytical features supporting production work.
- Design and implement analytical logic within autonomous and semi‑autonomous AI agents under lead direction.
- Evaluate and apply Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, and Azure AI services to enhance analytics productivity and embed intelligence into workflows.
- Actively participate in elevating engineering and analytics standards through clean code, structured peer reviews, and technical best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for analytics and modeling.
- Hands‑on experience with AI/ML concepts, predictive modeling, and feature engineering.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred).
- Exposure to Databricks, data lakes, and large‑scale data assets.
- Familiarity with automation tools and modern analytics workflows.
- Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and governance practices.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
Experience & Education
- 6–9 years of experience in analytics, data science, or applied AI.
- Experience delivering analytics or AI solutions in production environments.
- Background in healthcare, RCM, or regulated industries is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent.
