Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Senior Software Architect to define architecture, roadmaps, and technical direction for embedded SDK platforms across heterogeneous compute environments.

You will lead software architecture for CPU/DSP/NPU/MCU ecosystems, drive multi‑OS deployments, and guide SDLC governance while collaborating with silicon and OS teams, AI researchers, and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Define the architecture, roadmap, and technical direction for Embedded SDK platforms supporting heterogeneous compute environments.
• Architect reusable software frameworks, APIs, middleware layers, tooling, and runtime environments across multiple OS and processor architectures.
• Drive architecture decisions for Agentic SDK platforms enabling autonomous workflows, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and edge intelligence solutions.
• Establish long-term platform strategies balancing developer productivity, portability, performance, power efficiency, security, and scalability.
• Design software architectures for Qualcomm SoCs including CPUs, DSPs, NPUs, MCUs, accelerators, and secure execution environments.
• Define software decomposition, interface specifications, service boundaries, and integration requirements across subsystems.
• Develop architectural solutions for multi-OS deployments including Linux, Android, Zephyr, QuRT, QNX, Windows, and emerging RTOS environments.
• Lead software programs through the full SDLC from requirements to commercialization and sustaining engineering.
• Establish architecture documentation, reference implementations, coding standards, and platform adoption guidelines.
• Architect frameworks enabling AI agents to interact with embedded systems, sensors, edge-AI services, and device resources.
• Define SDK interfaces for model execution, orchestration engines, memory systems, telemetry, context management, and tool invocation.
• Design abstractions supporting on-device AI workloads across constrained environments.
• Collaborate with AI framework teams to enable deployment of agentic and generative AI on Qualcomm platforms.
• Partner with silicon architects, systems teams, OS teams, AI researchers, security architects, and developer tooling organizations.
• Influence roadmaps through architecture proposals and technical leadership.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical growth; represent Qualcomm with OEMs and ecosystems when required.

• Influence future chipset software roadmaps through architecture proposals and technical leadership.
• Mentor software engineers and contribute to technical growth across the organization.
• Represent Qualcomm with OEMs, ecosystem partners, standards bodies, and open-source communities when required.
