About the Role -

Job Overview:

As a Senior Embedded Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software for complex systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and reliable embedded solutions that meet industry standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for a wide range of applications, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.

· Lead the development and optimization of embedded systems, from firmware to hardware interfaces.

· Write and maintain clean, well-documented, and efficient code in C and C++ for embedded systems.

· Work with hardware teams to design and implement low-level drivers and interfaces, ensuring seamless integration between software and hardware components.

· Develop and implement software for communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, TCP/IP, MQTT,IEC, RS 232, IPC, SCADA, CDA).

· Perform system integration, troubleshooting, debugging, and testing of embedded applications.

· Optimize embedded software for performance, power consumption, and memory usage.

· Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, architecture, and design specifications.

· Contribute to the design and implementation of RTOS (Real-Time Operating System) features and services in embedded systems.

· Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in embedded technologies, ensuring the application of best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

· 8 to 10 years of experience in embedded software development, with a proven track record in designing and developing complex embedded systems.

· Strong proficiency in embedded programming languages such as C and C++.

· In-depth knowledge of hardware/software interfacing (e.g., GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).

· Experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or embOS.

· Solid understanding of microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex, PIC, AVR) and hardware platforms.

· Familiarity with embedded Linux or bare-metal development.

· Experience in debugging and optimization techniques for embedded systems (e.g., using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, etc.).

· Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).

· Understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, MQTT, CoAP) and communication technologies (e.g., UART, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, Wi-Fi).

· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

· Good knowledge of power optimization techniques and performance analysis for embedded systems.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor and collaborate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, or LoRa.

· Experience with cloud integration for IoT-based embedded systems.

· Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M or ARM Cortex-A microprocessors and FPGA design.

· Experience with embedded security (e.g., encryption, secure boot).

· Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

· Experience in medical devices, automotive systems, or consumer electronics is a plus.
