Job summary

Fortive's Advanced Sterilization Products division is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to plan and execute electrical design for medical device systems and components. You will lead design activities, generate requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance.

The role mentors junior engineers and contributes to innovative, reliable solutions while applying FBS principles and supporting timely project delivery across domestic and international

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience (or 3+ years with Master’s).
• In-depth knowledge of analog/digital circuit design and PCB tools (Orcad, PSPICE).
• Knowledge of safety standards and ESD practices.
• Ability to plan, document, and execute design for manufacturability and testability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct design and development of electrical systems, schematics, and PCB layouts, and cable/harness designs.
• Independently generate requirements and ensure design for manufacturability and testability
• Conduct technical design reviews and resolve complex engineering issues
• Execute and document verification and validation testing.
• Prepare documentation, test protocols, and reports to support project planning and decision-making.
• Mentor junior engineers, collaborates across functions and with external partners to address technical challenges and ensure timely project delivery.
• Apply FBS tools and best practices for continuous improvement
• Performs Failure Analyses and Investigation reports.

Acts as a resource for less experienced engineers and contributes to innovative, realiable solutions for medical device components.

Key Responsibilities
