Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCM) in Noida, India is seeking a Senior .NET Developer with 10+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain scalable .NET services and RESTful APIs. You will modernize legacy applications, develop frontend components in React, and implement robust CI/CD pipelines on Azure.

The role requires deep expertise in C#, .NET Framework/CORE, EF Core, SQL Server, and cloud-native microservices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a .NET Software Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in C# (C# 9.0+), .NET Framework & .NET Core 3.0+.
• Experience with Entity Framework EF Core and SQL Server.
• Experience building JSON-based RESTful APIs and using Postman.
• Proficient in unit testing, debugging and CI/CD automation.
• Hands-on Azure services experience including Functions, App Services, Storage, Service Bus.
• Knowledge of microservices, CRON/Queue/Blob-triggered workflows.
• Experience with front-end in React and modern web technologies.

Responsibilities

Day in the life:

• Design, build and maintain .NET services and RESTful APIs.
• Enhance and support legacy applications (e.g. Windows Forms)
• Develop and maintain front-end features using React (or another modern framework).
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (Azure DevOps).
• Work with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Storage) to deliver scalable solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise performance across applications and databases.
• Collaborate with product, QA and DevOps to deliver high-quality, secure, and reliable software.
• Take ownership of deliverables and continuously drive improvements.

You’ll be perfect for the role if you have:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience as a .NET Software Engineer
• Strong proficiency in C# (C# 9.0 onwards), .NET Framework, and .NET Core 3.0+
• Solid experience with Entity Framework and Entity Framework Core
• Experience developing and optimizing SQL Server functions, queries, and debugging
• Experience with Postman or similar API testing/mocking tools
• Proven experience building JSON-based RESTful APIs
• Proficient in unit testing, debugging, and automation techniques (e.g., Yaml, CI/CD) Cloud & Backend Engineering
• Hands-on experience with Azure services, including: o Azure Functions o App Services o Traffic Manager o Logic Apps o API Management (APIM) o Azure Storage (Blob, Table, Containers) o Azure Service Bus
• Experience in building CRON/Queue/Blob-triggered microservices
• Prior experience as a Backend Engineer with high-traffic, performant microservice architecture Web & Application Development
• Proven experience developing user-friendly, responsive web applications for both desktop and mobile
• Strong understanding of DevOps culture, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines Nice to Have
• Experience with Azure SQL
• Familiarity with New Relic or other APM tools
• Understanding of Entity Component System (ECS) architecture
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Experience with VB.NET
• Passion for open-source tools and developer productivity tools
