Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Bengaluru is seeking a software product–focused professional to help optimize the Helios Platform operations management space.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to implement design changes, run tests, and validate performance against quality standards. You will translate customer feedback into product improvements, conduct root-cause analysis, and communicate ideas to stakeholders while aligning with long-term platform goals.

Qualifications

As a member of theHelios Platformproduct team, you will be contributing to the definition of operations management space ofplatform,TDHanddependent downstream system. This role focuses on optimizing/enhancingcore product and provide better solution for dependent applications.You will serve as a critical liaison between customers, field service teams, and product development, ensuringPlatformdelivers measurable value across segments.

What You Will Do:

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design changes.

• Conduct tests and simulations to validate design modifications and ensure they meet performance and quality standards.

• Evaluate customer feedback and integrate insights into product enhancements.

• Lead root cause analysis for product failures and develop corrective action plans.

• Communicate ideas effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

• Collaborate with development teams to meet industry requirements.

• Deliver on short-term needs that align with long-term strategic visions.

• Analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement.

What You Will Have:

• Business Analysis:Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking:Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

• Effective Communications:Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

• Software Product Business Knowledge:Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.

• User Acceptance Testing (UAT):Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.

Considerations For Top Candidates:

• Background in construction operations with hands-on experience using Caterpillar technologies

• Extensive experience with Cat Grade technologies, including machine control, site positioning, and customer deployment

• Strong knowledge of Caterpillar payload applications, including onboard weighing systems and

• Strong listening skills to identify new products and features from customer feedback

• Experience in the development of web solutions or machine performance and control systems

• Self-motivated, results-driven individual with technical expertise

• Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and field support

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate operational insights into actionable product improvements

• Explains products and services with little or no use of technical jargon or advanced vocabulary

• Perceives lack of audience comprehension; further simplifies explanation when needed

• Performs at least 2-3 concurrent activities without reduced productivity

• Makes sound recommendations when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives

• Facilitate design reviews and walkthroughs

• Analyzes benefits and drawbacks of specific proposals

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
