Job summary

Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center in India is seeking a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to own cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tooling across AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and serverless workloads. You’ll optimize JVM-based services, implement IaC, and strengthen monitoring, security, and incident response. Expect on-call duties across Europe and the US and mentorship for teammates.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
• Strong experience building and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Azure experience is a bonus.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads in Kubernetes.
• Experience with serverless workloads (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (CircleCI).
• Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices.
• Security-focused mindset and threat guarding.

Responsibilities

Job description

Inspire Brands is disrupting the restaurant industry through digital transformation and operational efficiencies. The company’s technology hub, Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center, India, will lead technology innovation and product development for the organization and its portfolio of distinct brands. The Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center will focus on developing new capabilities in data science, data analytics, eCommerce, automation, cloud computing, and information security to accelerate the company’s business strategy. Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center will also host an innovation lab and collaborate with start-ups to develop solutions for productivity optimization, workforce management, loyalty management, payments systems, and more.

You will work across our AWS-based infrastructure, supporting highly available, secure services used by restaurant partners across multiple time zones in Europe and the US. Our platform is built on JVM-based services running in Kubernetes (EKS) alongside serverless workloads, with all infrastructure managed as code.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role with real ownership, spanning day-to-day infrastructure work, CI/CD tooling, monitoring and alerting, and security — with the chance to shape how we build and operate our platform going forward.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build, and maintain highly available and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize workloads across Kubernetes (EKS) and serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway).
• Support and troubleshoot our JVM-based services in production, including scaling and tuning based on JVM memory and performance characteristics.
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, enabling teams to ship changes quickly and safely.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response to keep our systems reliable and reduce time to resolution.
• Champion security best practices, keeping systems secure and guarding against threats.
• Mentor and support other engineers on the team, raising the bar for DevOps practices.
• Join the on-call rotation supporting restaurant partners across Europe and the US.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:

• 4+ years’ experience in a DevOps or similar role
• Strong experience building and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Additional experience with Azure is a bonus
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code
• Pulumi is a bonus
• Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads in Kubernetes
• Amazon EKS is an advantage
• Experience supporting and operating JVM-based applications
• Understanding how the JVM works and how to scale based on JVM memory is an advantage
• Experience with serverless workloads (AWS Lambda, API Gateway) is an advantage
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (we use CircleCI)
• Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices
• Experience keeping systems secure and guarding against security threats
