Qualifications

5+ years in IT operations or cloud support.
Experience supporting production environments on AWS or other major cloud platforms.
Strong problem solving in cloud and IoT environments.
Knowledge of security best practices and operational runbooks.
Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk).

Responsibilities

Maintain and support cloud-based digital systems, including AWS cloud services and IoT platforms.
Provide Level-2 support for AWS Cloud and IoT platform incidents around the clock.
Analyze and debug production incidents.
Execute and enhance runbooks and standard operating procedures.
Continuously monitor system performance to preempt issues.
Collaborate with development, QA, product, and other cross-functional teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve L2 AWS and IoT incidents while minimizing downtime and maintaining SLA compliance.
Monitor cloud and IoT systems, respond to alerts, and take proactive actions to maintain uptime.
Manage incidents efficiently and report operational metrics.
Maintain clear documentation for operational processes.
Manage escalations and resolve complex issues.
Automate and optimize operational workflows to improve system reliability and reduce incident volume.
Provide 24/7 support through shift rotations.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience in IT operations, cloud infrastructure support, or a similar technical support role
Experience supporting production environments on AWS or other major cloud platforms
Track record of incident handling and system maintenance
Strong problem-solving skills in complex cloud and IoT environments
High attention to detail and adherence to operational processes and runbooks
Clear and effective communication and teamwork abilities
Resilience and reliability under pressure
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and best practices
Service-oriented focus on uptime, performance, and proactive risk mitigation
A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field is required; equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical field considered
Understanding of AWS cloud services and architecture, including compute, storage, databases, and networking
Knowledge of cloud computing concepts, high availability, and security best practices
Familiarity with IoT concepts and platforms
Experience with connected devices or sensor data is a plus
Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Amazon CloudWatch and Splunk
Ability to set up dashboards and alerts and fine-tune metrics, logs, and traces
Familiarity with AI tools and prompt engineering
Hands-on experience with AWS AI services such as AI Ops, DevOps Guru, and Agentic AIs
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with IT service management and ticketing systems such as Jira and ServiceNow
Knowledge of incident escalation and priority definitions such as P1 and P2
Ability to create and maintain operational documentation
Understanding of security and compliance in operations, including access keys, certificates, and security groups
Ability to follow security guidelines and fix vulnerabilities promptly
AWS Certification such as SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect preferred
ITIL or IoT-related certifications are a plus but not mandatory
