Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to build, maintain, and improve pipelines, automation, and infrastructure supporting software delivery. You will work with the DevOps team to strengthen build reliability and collaborate with SRE and development teams worldwide.

You’ll provide primary DevOps support during India business hours, coordinating handoffs to US teams and contributing to tooling, IaC, and security improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years hands-on DevOps, build and release engineering, or similar role.
• Strong experience with CI/CD systems like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficiency in scripting/automation with Python and Bash.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, Perforce, Gerrit.
• Experience with IaC and cfgmgmt tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.
• Experience with orchestration/automation platforms like StackStorm, Argo CD, or Flux CD.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and production release knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a dedicated member of the DevOps team, contributing to scrums, planning sessions, and delivery of the team’s roadmap.
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines, build and release automation, and deployment workflows.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for DevOps issues during India business hours, triaging and resolving pipeline failures.
• Collaborate with SRE and development teams across time zones, ensuring clear handoffs to US teams.
• Automate manual processes to improve reliability, speed, and visibility of deployments.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, documentation, and troubleshooting guides for DevOps workflows.
• Contribute to tooling, infrastructure as code, and configuration management for platforms.
• Manage and maintain data center infrastructure using NetBox and Foreman, with Mellanox switches.
• Improve codebase and platform security through hardening and secure credential management.

As a dedicated member of the DevOps team, you will contribute to the team’s projects and roadmap, improve build and deployment reliability, and collaborate with SRE and development teams globally. This role provides primary DevOps support during India business hours, with clear handoffs to US-based teams.

What You Will Be Doing

What We Need To See

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.


• 8 + years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, build and release engineering, or a similar role.


• Strong experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent platforms.


• Strong experience working on any of the public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)


• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and Bash.


• Experience with source control tools and workflows using Git, GitLab, Perforce, and Gerrit.


• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.


• Experience with orchestration and automation platforms such as StackStorm, Argo CD, or Flux CD.


• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.


• Strong Linux fundamentals and skills in solving issues.


• Strong understanding of production release cycles, pipeline testing, and software quality practices.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams across time zones.
