Job summary

SquareOps Technologies Pvt Ltd in India is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to help build scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

You will work with clients and internal teams to design systems for scalability, security, and compliance, lead a team of junior engineers, and promote adoption of new technologies. Flexible hours and remote work options are available as part of a collaborative, growth-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting multi-tier production systems.
• Solutions design for SaaS/AI/Data Ops with compliant enterprise architectures.
• Extensive Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, and cloud providers experience (prefer AWS).
• Automation of cloud infra with Terraform, Shell scripting, AWS Lambda, EventBridge.
• Understanding of cloud cost management strategies for cost efficiency.
• Experience in high availability and disaster recovery.
• Strong problem-solving with an innovative mindset.
• Excellent communication with clients, engineering, and infra teams.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team to achieve objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at SquareOps, you’ll be expected to:

• Drive the scalability and reliability of our customers’ cloud applications.
• Work directly with clients, engineering, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-qualitysolutions.
• Design and develop various systems from scratch with a focus on scalability, security,and compliance.
• Develop deployment strategies and build configuration management systems.
• Lead a team of junior DevOps engineers, providing guidance and support on day-to-dayactivities.
• Drive innovation within the team, promoting the adoption of new technologies and practices to improve project outcomes.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for project implementations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Act as a mentor to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Qualifications:-

1. A proven track record in architecting complex production systems with multi-tier application stacks.
2. Expertise in designing solutions tailored to industry-specific requirements such as SaaS,AI, Data Ops, and highly compliant enterprise architectures.
3. Extensive experience working with Kubernetes, various CI/CD tools, and cloud service providers, preferably AWS.
4. Proficiency in automating cloud infrastructure management, primarily with tools like Terraform, Shell scripting, AWS Lambda, and Event Bridge.
5. Solid understanding of cloud financial management strategies to ensure cost-effective use of cloud resources.
6. Experience in setting up high availability and disaster recovery for cloud infrastructure.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset.
8. Excellent communication skills,capable of effectively liaising with clients, engineering,and infrastructure teams.
9. The ability to lead and mentor a team, guiding them to achieve their objectives.
10. High levels of empathy and emotional intelligence, with a talent for managing and resolving conflict.
