Skylo Technologies is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to build and optimize Skylo Cloud infrastructure. You will join the Platform team, delivering scalable, resilient, and high‑quality networks with automation and IaC.

You’ll work on CI/CD, monitoring, security, and collaboration across telecom and software domains. The role requires deep technical expertise, scripting strength, and experience with cloud platforms like GCP/AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
• 4–6 years of experience in validation and test automation of backend-heavy applications and services deployed in the cloud
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in telecom and software industries
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and architectures
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control (Git)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Ruby
• Experience with telecom-specific tools and technologies
• Understanding of networking concepts and cloud telecom services
• Knowledge of security best practices in software and telecom infra
• Relevant certifications in DevOps, networking and telecom (e.g., GCP Pro Cloud DevOps)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines for distributed cloud systems and multiple environments
• Ensure seamless integration of software changes into infrastructure
• Automate operational processes for network management, provisioning and configuration
• Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency
• Ensure changes to Skylo network are version-controlled and reproducible
• Collaborate with network engineers to automate configurations using Ansible, Terraform or Puppet
• Set up monitoring solutions for health and performance of apps and network infra
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot, and implement preventive measures
• Enforce security best practices in development and deployment
• Collaborate with telecom engineers and software developers to streamline processes

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with a passion for creating best‑in‑class automation scripts, IaC, and validating Skylo’s robust cloud infrastructure. You will be an essential part of the Platform team, ensuring we deliver a scalable, resilient, and high‑quality network.

How You Will Contribute

• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines for distributed cloud systems and multiple environments
• Ensure the seamless integration of software changes into the infrastructure
• Automate operational processes related to network management, provisioning, and configuration
• Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve overall efficiency
• Ensure that changes to the Skylo network are version‑controlled and reproducible
• Collaborate with network engineers to automate and manage network configurations using tools like Ansible, Terraform or Puppet
• Set up monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of both software applications and network infrastructure
• Respond to incidents promptly, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures to minimise service disruptions
• Implement and enforce security best practices in both software development and deployment
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, addressing security concerns proactively
• Collaborate with telecom engineers, software developers, and other cross‑functional teams to streamline processes and enhance collaboration
• Inculcate accountability and ownership within the team – YBYO (You build it, you own it!) by promoting robust design, development and documentation practices.

What We Look For

• 4–6 years of experience in validation and test automation of backend‑heavy applications and services deployed in the cloud.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in the telecom and software industry
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and architectures
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python or Ruby
• Experience with telecom‑specific tools and technologies
• Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies relevant to the telecom industry
• Experience with network configuration management tools
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in both software and telecom infrastructure
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS) and knowledge of telecom services in a cloud environment
• The candidate must be an expert in leveraging AI‑powered tools to accelerate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development and streamline DevOps workflows, significantly improving delivery speed and efficiency
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with cross‑functional teams
• Relevant certifications in DevOps, networking and telecom technologies (e.g. Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer (GCP)).
