Job summary

AECOM's Enterprise Capabilities team in Bengaluru/Gurugram is seeking a Senior Designer - BIM Electrical Plant 3D to join our team. You will perform complex BIM and Plant Data Centric assignments using Revit, Plant 3D and related tools, delivering high-quality 3D models and project deliverables.

You will lead modeling activities, train staff, coordinate with Civil, Structural, Electrical and Piping disciplines, and ensure QA/QC within Plant 3D.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE Electrical & Electronics with 8+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in Civil 3D software tool.
• Work experience in ME Urban Infrastructure Design works (prefer Dry Utilities design experience in consulting firms).
• Good knowledge of Revit is added advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex BIM or Plant Data Centric assignments using multiple platforms (Revit, Intergraph SmartPlant, Plant 3D) to meet deadlines.
• Provides training and technical support to design staff on the BIM system.
• Strong hands-on Plant 3D modeling with ability to lead and deliver project deliverables.
• Experience in equipment modeling, custom equipment creation, and QA/QC within Plant 3D.
• Coordination with Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Piping disciplines.
• Experience with ACC/ Forma and exposure to US/mining projects is a plus.

Performs complex BIM or Plant Data Centric assignments involving the use of multiple application platforms, such as Revit, Intergraph SmartPlant, Plant 3D, etc. software, to achieve set results and deadlines

• Works under limited supervision.
• Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.
• Strong hands-on experience in Autodesk Plant 3D with the ability to independently lead and deliver Plant 3D modeling activities and project deliverables.
• Experience in equipment modeling, custom equipment creation, and QA/QC review processes within Plant 3D.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 3D and Navisworks Manage for model review and clash detection.
• Experience in Substation layout development and 2D & 3D equipment modeling.
• Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and deliverables.
• Experience in coordinating with Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Piping disciplines.
• Strong communication skills with a high level of project ownership, accountability, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / Autodesk Forma, and exposure to US and mining projects will be an added advantage.
