Responsibilities
- ; Lead, plan, and allocate work across the;Engineering;team for balanced workloads and on-time delivery.
- ; Prepare and technically review all engineering deliverables prior to client submission: GA, Wiring Diagrams, Loop Drawings, I/O List, System Architecture, Network Drawings, Control Philosophy, FDS, Logic Diagrams, Cable Schedules, FAT/SAT Procedures, and Reports, etc.
- ; Review and validate PLC/RTU logic;and SCADA Screens;against the FDS.
- ; Establish and enforce drawing standards, design templates, and best practices per client requirements and applicable standards (IEC/NFPA).
- ; Review client specifications, PIDs, and tender documents; lead technical clarification meetings and issue TQs as required.
- ; Provide engineering input on SIS requirements, SIL allocation, and BPCS/SIS interface design per IEC 61511.
- ; Ensure compliance with hazardous area classification (ATEX/IECEx) in equipment selection, panel design, and field wiring.
- ; Manage engineering scope, deliverable registers, and schedule across multiple concurrent projects.
- ; Support pre-bid activities: technical scope definition and engineering manhour estimation.
- ; Review vendor submittals, BoMs, and technical datasheets for compliance with engineering specifications.
- ; Coordinate engineering-to-commissioning handover with Site Services; conduct or delegate site survey visits as required.
- ; Interface with process, instrumentation, electrical, and civil disciplines to align design with project objectives.
- ; Act as the senior engineering escalation point during FAT, SAT, and site commissioning; provide remote and on-site support.
- ; Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; conduct performance reviews and recommend training or recruitment actions.
Requirements
- ; BE in Electrical Electronics, Electronics Instrumentation, Electronics Communication, or relevant field.
- ; 4+ years in Industrial Control Automation Systems design, with 2+ years in a lead capacity, with experience in:
- ; Full engineering packages for PLC, RTU, SCADA, and HMI projects in Oil Gas or allied process industries.
- ; Design software: EPLAN Electric P8 or AutoCAD Electrical.
- ; GA, Wiring Diagrams, Loop Drawings, I/O Lists, Control Philosophy, Cable Schedules, PIDs, and FAT/SAT Procedures;etc.
- ; Review of PLC/RTU logic;and SCADA Screens;against FDS.
- ; Industrial protocols: Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus/Profinet, DNP3, IEC 61850, IEC 104, MQTT.
- ; Communication networks: Ethernet, Fiber Optic, RS232, RS485.
- ; Platforms: Rockwell (Studio 5000/ControlLogix/FactoryTalk), Siemens (TIA Portal/;WinCC), or Schneider Electric.
- ; Working knowledge of Functional Safety (IEC 61511/SIL) and SIS/BPCS interface requirements.
- ; Understanding of hazardous area classification (ATEX/IECEx) for equipment selection and panel engineering.
- ; Working knowledge of OT Cybersecurity (IEC 62443) and Substation Automation (IEC 61850); OT cybersecurity project experience is an added advantage.
- ; Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under schedule and resource constraints.
- ; Strong technical review, QA mindset, and people management skills.
- ; Excellent client-facing communication and technical documentation skills.
