Medline India is seeking a Senior Administrator to manage the QAD environment at our Pune office. You will work closely with both onsite and offshore teams to ensure efficient operation of Progress databases and systems.

Senior Administrator – QAD EUR

Location: Pune, India.

Job Description

Medline India seeks an experienced Administrator to independently manage the QAD landscape at its Pune office. The role involves working closely with QAD Administrators, Progress DBA, and QAD Development teams both onsite and offshore, to ensure the QAD environment, progress databases and systems operate efficiently and securely. The Administrator will manage core DBA activities, support QAD NetUI, QXTEND and resolve technical issues, while proactively monitoring the environment to maintain high availability.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of QAD EE (Enterprise Edition) and Progress products technical experience, including proficiency with RDBMS concepts, Progress DBA tasks and YAB administration.
• Minimum 5 years of end‑to‑end QAD landscape management.
• Experience with QAD Financial patch and add‑on tool installation.
• Experience with QAD i19 add‑on package installation & setup.
• Experience with QAD YAB & add‑on tools upgrade.
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux.
• Manage physical database aspects such as DBMS setup, backups, extent addition, AfterImage file management, schema addition and dump load.
• Collaborate with QAD Development team on schema management.
• Ensure progress databases and systems operate efficiently and securely.
• Proactive production and non‑production monitoring.
• Perform database refreshes and related DBA tasks.
• Create performance, DB, table & index analysis reports.
• Resolve assigned incidents and tasks per defined SLAs.
