Job summary

Spearsoftech is seeking a Senior Data Scientist (ML & Recommendations) to design and deploy real-time recommendation engines and forecasting models across web/mobile platforms, driving inventory, pricing, and marketing analytics.

You will work in a US-timezone aligned environment from our Hyderabad office, leveraging Python/R/SQL, Databricks, and ML Ops to deliver production-grade models and insightful executive dashboards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics roles.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL for data manipulation and model development.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms: recommender systems, forecasting models, and predictive analytics.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) for presenting executive insights.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and ML Ops practices for deploying and maintaining models in production.
• Familiarity with code management and version control (Git, ADO, etc.).
• Expertise in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new ML algorithms to support regular and ad-hoc strategic business requests.
• Work on developing analytical models to support executive management decision making.
• Maintain and enhance existing forecasting models; build new models incorporating user feedback and digital analytics.
• Work on ad-hoc analysis and handle data requests from business stakeholders with deep financial commentary.
• Provide support for existing analytical processes and meet stakeholders' service expectations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of code and processes; assist in writing user manuals.
• Bridge operational analytics to financial impacts, participate in project-based initiatives, and collaborate with ML Ops.
• Utilize Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) and ADO pipelines for automated model deployment and code version control.

Role Overview

The Senior Data Scientist for Information Management & Analytics identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to improve business performance and customer experience through developing algorithms that provide real-time business recommendations and predictive models.

Key Summary:
