Job summary

Analytical Wizards, part of the Definitive Healthcare family, is seeking a Data Scientist to drive analytics on large healthcare datasets in Bengaluru. The role emphasizes data handling, modeling, and reporting with Python or R, plus strong business context understanding.

You will collaborate with Product and Customer Success, deliver customer-ready analyses, and contribute to cross-functional, global projects.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience in Python and/or R is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication, presentation, and data storytelling skills.
• Experience with pharmaceutical or healthcare datasets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver analytics and reports from large, complex datasets.
• Partner with Product and Customer Success teams to provide data-driven insights.
• Create deliverables to support customer engagements and decisions.

Job Description

This position requires strong Coding Knowledge along with Data handling and Wrangling experience with either Python/R. Candidate will work hands-on projects in areas such as advanced analytics, creating reports and metrics out of large complex datasets, solution workbench etc. Individuals should possess aptitude to understand business context, create insights from data and willingness to learn application of data handling tools and techniques suitable for the project assigned. Familiarity or Ability to learn and work on healthcare domain along with broad range of quantitative/analytical techniques to help clients improve their business decisions is needed.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in custom projects focused on prescription and claims-based reporting and modeling using
• Partner with the Product and Customer Success teams to deliver informed analyses to customers.
• Create deliverables to assist with customer engagements.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to implement optimized solutions.

Qualifications

• 2 - 5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, or related fields, with strong expertise in Python and/or R.
• Hands-on experience in Python and/or R is mandatory.
• Strong communication, presentation, and skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work with large and complex datasets, identify process improvement opportunities, and provide data-driven insights.Strong analytical thinking with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Econometrics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Experience with pharmaceutical or healthcare datasets is an added advantage.
