How We Do It

From a distributed energy resources (DER) and grid edge perspective, Bidgely is advancing smart meter innovation with data‑driven solutions for solar PVs, electric vehicle (EV) detection, EV behavioral load shifting and managed charging, energy theft, short‑term load forecasting, grid analytics and time‑of‑use (TOU) rate designs. Bidgely’s UtilityAI™ energy analytics provides deep visibility into generation and consumption for better peak load shaping and grid planning and delivers targeted recommendations for new value‑added products and services.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Research and develop advanced statistical and machine learning models for analysis of large‑scale, high‑dimensional data.
• Dig deeper into data, understand characteristics of data, evaluate alternate models and validate hypothesis through theoretical and empirical approaches.
• Productize proven or working models into production quality code.
• Collaborate with product management, marketing and engineering teams in business units to elicit and understand their requirements and challenges and develop potential solutions.
• Stay current with latest research and technology ideas; share knowledge by clearly articulating results and ideas to key decision makers.
• File patents for innovative solutions that add to the company's IP portfolio.

Requirements

• Strong experience in data mining, machine learning and statistical analysis.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or related areas.
• Experience in productizing models to code in a fast‑paced start‑up environment.
• Expertise in Python programming language and fluency in analytical tools.
• Strong intuition for data and keen aptitude for large‑scale data analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Evaluation Criteria

• Hands‑on coding; basic algorithm implementation in Python.
• Problem‑solving: including logical thinking and reasoning.
• Basic Data Science discussion on associated algorithms, etc.
