Job summary

KreditBee is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to build core infrastructure powering data-driven decision making. You will design and develop large-scale backend services and distributed data systems processing billions of events with high reliability and performance.

You will work with engineering, data science, and product teams to create a modern, self-serve data platform enabling analytics and machine learning at scale. This role demands strong system design and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Backend Engineering, or Distributed Systems.
• Experience building and scaling large-scale data platforms and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of distributed data tech such as Spark, Kafka, Trino/Presto, Iceberg/Delta Lake.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale distributed data platforms, backend services, and data infrastructure that are highly available, secure, and cost-efficient.
• Architect scalable systems with emphasis on performance, reliability, fault tolerance, and observability.
• Lead end-to-end technical initiatives from design through production deployment and mentor engineers.

PlatformArchitecture & Engineering

• Design, build,and scale distributed data platforms, backend services, and data infrastructurethat are highly available, secure, and cost-efficient
• Architectscalable systems with a focus on performance, reliability, fault tolerance, andobservability
• Driveplatform-first initiatives and build reusable frameworks that accelerateengineering productivity

DataInfrastructure & Scalability

• Develop andoptimize large-scale data processing systems for batch and real-time workloads
• Build andmaintain modern data lake and warehouse architectures
• Ensure high dataavailability, quality, and low-latency access for analytics and businessapplications

TechnicalLeadership

• Lead end-to-endtechnical initiatives from design through production deployment
• Mentor engineersand promote engineering best practices across architecture, code quality, andoperational excellence
• Drive technicaldiscussions, design reviews, and architectural decision-making
• Partner withProduct, Infrastructure, Data Science, and Analytics teams to deliver scalableplatform solutions
• Align technicalstrategy with business objectives and future growth requirements
• Influenceplatform roadmap and long-term architectural direction

What We\u0027reLooking For

EducationalBackground

• Bachelor\u0027s orMaster\u0027s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or arelated field

ProfessionalExperience

• 6+ years ofexperience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Backend Engineering, orDistributed Systems
• Proven experiencebuilding and scaling large-scale data platforms and distributed systems

TechnicalExpertise

• Strong experiencewith distributed data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Trino, Presto,Iceberg, Delta Lake, and modern data lake/warehouse architectures
• Strongprogramming skills in Python or Golang
• Deepunderstanding of distributed systems, storage architectures, query engines, andlarge-scale data processing
• Experiencedesigning multi-tenant, highly scalable, and resilient platforms
