Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Modeler with strong expertise in CPG domain data to design, optimize, and govern enterprise data models supporting large-scale data warehousing and analytics platforms. The role focuses on enabling high-performance analytical reporting for sales, trade promotion, supply chain, and retail insights.

Roles & Responsibilities Data Modeling

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data warehouses and analytical platforms.

• Create data models aligned to CPG business processes including sales, trade promotions, supply chain, and retail analytics.

• Apply best practices in dimensional modeling, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema designs.

Data Warehousing & ETL Collaboration

• Work closely with ETL and data engineering teams to ensure accurate data integration, transformation, and loading processes.

• Optimize data structures to ensure performance, scalability, maintainability, and data consistency.

• Support data validation, reconciliation, and impact analysis during data ingestion and transformation.

Collaboration & Modernization

• Partner with data engineers, architects, and Product Owners to understand existing data models.

• Refactor and modernize legacy data models to support evolving analytics and platform modernization initiatives.

Governance, Standards & Documentation

• Define, document, and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and best practices.

• Maintain comprehensive data model documentation and metadata to support enterprise data governance.

• Ensure compliance with data governance and master data management (MDM) principles.

Performance Tuning & Optimization

• Analyze and improve query performance through efficient schema design, indexing strategies, and data partitioning.

• Support performance troubleshooting and optimization initiatives across reporting and analytics workloads.
