Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Data Migration Developer for PAN India to lead end-to-end PLM data migrations to PTC Windchill. You will perform source analysis, data profiling, and define source-to-target mappings for CAD, documents and parts, while designing ETL processes and configuring WBM for large migrations.

Applicants should have 10+ years in data migration with Windchill, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn new data-management technologies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data migration to PTC Windchill and related IT domains
• Strong knowledge of WBM tool and Windchill database
• Clear communicator with strong written and spoken English
• Willingness to learn new technologies in data management

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end PLM data migration strategy and execution to PTC Windchill
• Perform source system analysis, data profiling, and data quality assessment
• Define source-to-target data mapping for Parts, Documents, CAD, BOMs, and Change objects
• Design and execute ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load)
• Configure and run Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) for large-volume migrations
• Handle CAD and content vault migrations (Creo / SolidWorks via WGM)
• Execute multiple migration rehearsals and support cutover planning
• Perform data transformation, normalization, and cleansing
• Develop and execute pre-load and post-load validation and reconciliation reports
• Support SIT, UAT, and business validation on migrated data
• Identify and resolve migration failures, data inconsistencies, and performance issues
• Optimize loader performance, vault configuration, and system scalability
• Support regulated environments (auditability, traceability, IQ/OQ/PQ readiness)
• Collaborate with functional, integration, and business teams
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to migration frameworks and best practices

Skills And Experience

• Bachelor/master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in data migration to PTC Windchill and related process areas, with a total experience of more than 5 years in IT industry.
• Must have the knowledge of PTC Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) tool and the PTC Windchill based PLM functionality.
• Must have the knowledge about the PTC Windchill database and database tables.
• Strong & clear communicator.
• Flexible to work and learning new technologies in the data management area as needed.
