Job summary

Prudent Globaltech Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on Snowflake, dbt, SQL and Python expertise to build scalable data platforms. You will work on AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and data quality.

The role requires 8+ years in data engineering, with 4+ years in Snowflake and modern ELT/dbt experience. Hybrid collaboration, API integrations, and CI/CD are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Data Engineering with 4+ years in Snowflake and DBT.
• Hands-on experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines on Snowflake.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and CI/CD for dbt models.
• Strong SQL and Python skills; data modelling using dimensional/medallion architectures.
• Exposure to Airflow/ADF or similar orchestrators.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on Snowflake.
• Build integrations across APIs, source systems, and downstream platforms.
• Develop tested and documented dbt models and transformations with CI/CD.
• Design dimensional and Bronze/Silver/Gold data architectures.
• Optimize Snowflake performance, security, and cloud costs.
• Implement data quality, governance, testing, and documentation standards.
• Use AI tools for coding, debugging, and data-quality analysis; review AI outputs.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Candidates should regularly use AI coding assistants in their daily workflow and demonstrate the ability to prompt effectively, validate AI-generated code, troubleshoot pipelines, and apply AI to engineering automation.

Ideal Profile:

8+ years in Data Engineering with 4+ years of Snowflake and modern ELT/dbt experience, with a proven track record of delivering production-grade data pipelines at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Must-Have Skills:

• Snowflake Data modelling, performance tuning, security & cost optimization.
• Integration pipeline development.
• dbt Models, tests, macros, dependencies & documentation.
• Strong SQL and Python/scripting experience.
• Data modelling Dimensional / Medallion architecture.
• Git-based CI/CD workflows.
• Exposure to Airflow, ADF, or similar orchestration tools.

Good to Have:

• SODA, Collibra or other data-quality tools.
• AWS / Azure / GCP exposure.
• Enterprise or regulated data environments.
• Team mentoring/technical leadership.
