Job summary

Thales Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build and optimize data pipelines, leveraging Pyspark, Databricks, and SQL technologies. The role focuses on delivering scalable data solutions for analytics and operations within a global technology leader.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust data storage, processing and dashboarding capabilities, including Delta Live Tables and Tableau, while ensuring code quality and security."

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer.

Minimum Skills/Experience:

• 5-7 years relevant experience as a Data Engineer with skills in Pyspark, SQL, knowledge of Databricks, cloud platforms, stream processing.
• Responsible for writing reusable, testable and efficient code, ensuring the application's performance, security and scalability.
• Good to have understanding of AI tools.
• Dashboarding tool exposure: Databricks dashboarding, Tableau.
• Mandatory experience working with Delta Live Tables.
• In addition, will be working on data engineering problems and building data pipelines.
• Integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.).
• Strong unit test and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and MySQL.
• Experience with Git, JIRA, Confluence.
• Support end-to-end testing.
• Optimization Skills.
