Job summary

Optum India is seeking an experienced ETL/Data Engineer to design, develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL solutions for Caredata architectures. The role emphasizes cloud integration, Airflow scheduling, and CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub Actions, within a collaborative environment.

The candidate should have 3+ years in ETL, Data Warehouse/BI, and strong SQL skills. Experience with Spark and Databricks is highly valued, preferably in Azure cloud and healthcare-related projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and developing ETL solutions.
• Experience in Data Warehouse/BI environments.
• Strong SQL skills including complex queries and DDL.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure.
• Knowledge of Airflow scheduling and CI/CD pipelines.
• Healthcare domain exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand Caredata architecture/domain and contribute to requests.
• Develop efficient and high performing ETL solutions.
• Design, develop, test and tune ETLs, automation and AI capabilities.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure is intact and resolve issues.
• Schedule deployed pipelines using Airflow with proper dependency hierarchy.
• Move code from non-prod to stage/prod for go-live.
• Build and maintain pipelines and automation through GitOps (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Provide production support and issue resolution.
• Design and implement data pipelines to feed data warehouses or storage.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Understand Caredata architecture/domain and start contributing for new/existing business requests
• Develop efficient and high performing ETL solutions
• Design, develop, test and performance tune complex ETLs,Automation and AI Skills
• To make sure all the cloud infra is intact and resolve any issues encountered
• Schedule the deployed pipelines using Airflow following proper dependency hierarchy of jobs
• Move the code/application to higher environments(stage/prod) from non-prod for go-live
• Build and maintain pipelines and automation through Git Ops (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc)

Required Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech./MCA/Graduation
• Bachelor or master's degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent
• 3+ years of total experience
• 3+ years of experience in designing and developing ETL solutions
• 3+ years of working knowledge in a Data Warehouse/BI environment
• Experience in Data Integration and Data Warehousing and Cloud
• Solid DBMS experience: Snowflake, SQL, Hive, Databricks
• Good experience in job schedulers like Airflow
• Good experience in working on cloud environment, preferably Azure
• Experience with Continuous Integration CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Experience with contemporary SDLC methodologies such as Agile, Scrum
• Expertise in BigData frameworks like Spark
• Solid SQL skills including complex SQL constructs, DDL generation
• Proven excellent organizational, analytical, writing, problem solving and interpersonal skillsGood to have Healthcare Domains exposure
• Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills, co‑ordination skills
