Big Happy is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data Insights Group in India. The role focuses on designing and developing data architectures across platforms to support data-driven decisions and analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities include building scalable data pipelines, data wrangling, and contributing to data infrastructure innovations, with exposure to cloud platforms (AWS) and SQL-based data warehousing. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related work experience or advanced degree with 3+ years (Required).
• 4+ years developing cloud solutions using AWS (Required).
• 4+ years hands-on development migrating data to cloud platforms (Required).
• 4+ years SQL experience and relational database design (Required).
• 4+ years building complex data pipelines with Python and SQL/DAX (Required).
• Experience in ad tech or related fields a plus.

Description

Big Happy is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join its growing Data Insights Group. This role is essential for designing and developing data architectures across platforms to support organizational data needs.This role will need to analyze, architect, design, and develop data warehouse and business analytics solutions. Success is measured by the effectiveness of data engineering solutions and contribution to data architecture innovation. The work impacts the organization by enabling data-driven decision-making and advancing data infrastructure capabilities for business insights.

NOTE:

• Candidates must be open to work within USA time zones EST/EDT and PST/PDT hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data engineering solutions that enable data pipelines, visualization, and analytical tools to support business requirements
• Design and develop data architectures to ensure scalable data infrastructure
• Perform data wrangling, exploration, and discovery of heterogeneous data to generate new business insights
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and drive the advancement of new data engineering capabilities
• Assist management in project definition, including estimating, planning, and scoping work to meet objectives

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3+ years of related experience (Required); strong preference for degrees in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related subject area.
• 4+ years Developing cloud solutions using data series; experience with Amazon Web Services (Required).
• 4+ years Hands-on development using and migrating data to cloud platforms (Required).
• 4+ years Experience in SQL, and/or relational database design and development (Required).
• 4+ years Advanced knowledge and experience in building complex data pipelines with Python with experience in languages such as SQL and/or DAX Python.
• Experience in ad tech or related fields a plus.
