Job summary

Qualminds is seeking a data engineer with 8 to 12 years of experience in MSSQL and cloud technologies. The role involves maintaining and migrating data processes, analyzing data sets, and collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Candidates should be skilled in T-SQL, data integration, and have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Snowflake is beneficial. This position is located in Hyderabad, India.

Experience: 8 to 12 years

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and support existing MSSQL processes, pipelines, and schemas
• Migrate existing pipelines and processes to cloud (Snowflake, GCP)
• Analyze and organize raw data sets to meet both functional and non‑functional requirements
• Develop and test new pipelines and processes, both in MSSQL and cloud environments
• With the data engineering team, design and implement solutions that scale to meet business needs
• Design and implement data models to support analytics and reporting initiatives
• With the software team, develop products that deliver value to our clients
• Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related artifacts.
• Package and support deployment of releases
• Analyze and resolve technical and application problems
• Adhere to high‑quality development principles while delivering solutions on time and on budget
• Provide third‑level support to business users
• Participate in business operations as necessary to meet business goals

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology (a 4‑year bachelor’s degree is acceptable) - OR - expertise in the above subject matters matched by experience
• 8+ years’ experience in MSSQL data engineering and development required
• Expertise in understanding relational and warehousing database design and querying concepts
• Strong desire to learn
• Experience with SSIS, data integration and ETL procedures
• Excellent understanding of T‑SQL, stored procedures, indexes, stats, functions, and views
• Understanding of version control concepts
• Strong desire to be a world‑class data and SQL troubleshooter

BENEFICIAL

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform technology stack: BigQuery, Data Flow, Data Fusion
• Experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse
